Speaking Test: General Topics Discussion

Test Format:

  1. Duration: Approximately 5-07 minutes per student.
  2. Number of Topics: Three topics will be randomly selected from a pool of general interest topics.
  3. Evaluation Criteria: Each student will be evaluated based on communication proficiency, critical thinking, and language usage.

Test Procedure:

  1. Introduction (2 minutes):

    • Welcome the student.
    • Explain the test format and objectives briefly.
  2. Topic Selection (1 minute):

    • Randomly select three topics from the pool (e.g., technology, travel, environmental issues).
    • Inform the student about the chosen topics.
  3. Topic Discussion (5-6 minutes per topic):

    • Topic 1: The student discusses their thoughts, opinions, and experiences related to the first topic.
    • Topic 2: Repeat the process for the second topic.
    • Topic 3: Repeat for the third topic.
  4. Evaluation (2 minutes per topic):

    • Evaluate the student's communication proficiency, critical thinking, and language usage during each topic discussion.
    • Take notes on fluency, coherence, vocabulary usage, grammar accuracy, and ability to present ideas logically.
  5. Feedback and Conclusion (2-3 minutes):

    • Provide constructive feedback based on the evaluation criteria.
    • Encourage areas of improvement and highlight strengths.
    • Thank the student and conclude the test.
